Member Survey - the results are in!

Thank you to everyone who took the time this summer to fill out the parent survey for the club. We had more than half the club participate with 60 families responding!
Overall, the majority of the membership feels satisfied with the overall experience provided by the club with 81.6% of respondents stating that they were either satisfied, or very satisfied. In particular, the coaching staff, team spirit and the overall sense of community within the club were highlighted as particular strengths of the club.
A number of areas for development were also noted, in particular around improving team and parent communications and providing a better support process for new members to the club.
The board will continue to review the survey results and will communicate more about next steps over the coming weeks however, there are a few important changes that will be made immediately:


1. New parent onboarding process: The Board has drafted an onboarding package and reference guides for new parents and will be hosting information sessions and a parent social in September to help orient new parents to the club.

2. Website redesign and refresh: Over the next few weeks we will be making changes to the organization and information available on the website. The goal is to have the website be the definitive source of information for parents and swimmers.

3. President’s Newsletter: As part of our overall communication strategy, the President will be establishing a newsletter for parents to have better insight into what club business is being discussed at the Board and executive committee.
